About the Kairos Legacy Conference
The Kairos Legacy Conference is meant to bring together young professionals who are either part of one of our Sword of the Spirit communities, are interested in the Sword of the Spirit, or have recently been a part of one of our collegiate outreaches. We want to engage topics facing our demographic in order to build the kingdom in our homes, workplaces, and schools. Please join us for a weekend of worship, fellowship and seeking the Lord!
Part One: For Such A Time As This
Discipleship: all my life, for the rest of my life. In some ways, being a radical Christian in college is easy - everyone is in the same boat economically, temporally, and geographically: out of money, with lots of time, and on campus. But what about now? The Lord is still calling: “Leave your nets; come, and follow me.”
Part Two: The Advent of Us - Or, Where Did Young Professionals Come From, Anyway?
The Lord has called us for such a time as this. But what are the times like? Sociologically, how do the lives of today’s young professionals look and look different from those in the past - and how did we get here, anyway? Finally, how does the dominant culture answer the questions of why we are here, where are we going, and how we can get there? How shall we respond?
Part Three: A Call
The Lord has given us in The Sword of the Spirit a prophetic call. What is this call, and how do we go about discerning if this call is for us? And if so, how do we build our lives in response?
Part Four: Careering as a Christian
Disciples in the workplace: being individuals who live in the world, but not becoming of it. A presentation from a successful professional on how to approach work, life, and service as a steward and servant of the Lord.
