Kairos Youth Workers Conference

The Kairos Youth Workers Conference is a weekend of training for Sword of the Spirit youth workers. It is primarily for those who serve our community high school programs, though junior high youth workers are invited to attend as well. Our goal is to equip youth workers with vision for their role, for the way of life we are trying pass on, and for the unique challenges of our time. Our youth workers tell us that they find the prayer and fellowship we have together at this conference to be extremely valuable.

Dates: None planned for 2024 (Past years have been in November and December)
Location: Lansing, MI
Cost: $50 People Travelling to MI, $100 MI Residents

Youth Workers Training and Resources

Kairos exists to serve the young people in the North American Region of the Sword of the Spirit. One of the ways that we do that is by being a resource for youth groups and by providing training for youth workers. This year we will be providing a youth worker track at the Regional Summer Conference, which is being hosted in Lansing, MI from July 11-13. Additionally, we have a number of foundational training resources available for youth groups to use, and we have some availability to provide a more custom training experience for local youth groups. If you lead or supervise your local youth group and would like more information, please reach out to us at kairos-na.org/contact/

If you're flying to the summit, it would be best to fly in and out of O'Hare International Airport (ORD). There is a train from the Chicago O'Hare airport to Mundelein which we can tell you how to take, and it costs about $10 each way.

You can also fly to Midway International Airport (MDW). You will need to take public transportation to get from this airport to Mundelein. Navigating this public transportation will be a bit more complex, but we can help talk you through it if you are interested in public transportation hopping

Kairos can pick people up from the Mundelein train station (for trains from O'Hare) and the Libertyville train station (for trains from Midway via downtown Chicago). Plan for 30-60 minutes of travel from O'Hare and 2.5 hours of travel from Midway.
